his letter is to request your help in fighting local child abuse and neglect. It is an ambitious task, and we need your help.

Did you know that:
- On an average day, there are over 200 homeless children in San Diego.
- 150,000 children live in poverty in San Diego County.
- There are 7,500 foster children in San Diego. Without our help, these children are 500 times more likely to end up in prison than our children. 50% of them will be homeless within 18 months of turning 18.
- Last year, over 1,000 children were victims of violent crimes such as murder, rape, sexual assault and robbery.

Five years ago, a group of concerned financial executives, active in San Diego's CFO Roundtable, formed "Day for Change," a 501(c)(3) public foundation for the purpose of raising funds to support disadvantaged children in our community. Since its inception, Day for Change has raised over $125,000 to help those local charities that tirelessly work to change the future of San Diego's abused and neglected children.

You can help us make a difference. The Board of Directors firmly believes that if we band together, pool our resources and challenge each other, we can and will make a difference. Please join the cause of Day for Change in the fight against child abuse and neglect. Your commitment will make a difference - a difference in the lives of children who reside in our own backyard.

How can you help? There are many ways.
- You can make a personal donation.
- Your company can make a contribution.
- Your company can participate in our "Bang for the Buck" program. For just a mere $500, a representative of your company can make a presentation to the 230 members of the CFO Roundtable.

Each year since the inception of Day for Change, we have increased the level of grants made to the charities that support the abused and neglected children of San Diego. We know that we will continue this tremendous success - and we sincerely hope you choose to be a part of that success.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors
